12.2 billion dollars export from agriculture, food and beverage sector in the first 6 months of the year The country’s overall exports in the first seven month of this year have soared by 19.1% when compared to the same period of last year to reach $144.4 billion (TL 2.59 trillion), according to data released by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM).
Prominent products in foreign trade In the first 6 months of 2022, the prominent products in exports were flour, refined sunflower oil and pasta, respectively, and these products constituted approximately 13 percent of total exports.
In the first 6 months of 2022, the most imported products were wheat, soybean and crude sunflower oil, respectively. These 3 products accounted for approximately 35.5 percent of total imports, that is, more than one-third.
In June 2022, the prominent products in exports were refined sunflower oil, wheat flour and cherries. In the same period, the most imported products were soybean, wheat, and crude sunflower oil.
