The apparel industry of Türkiye has always been a leading industry thanks to its widespread and innovative manufacturing power.

The Turkish textile industry, the world’s 5th largest textile exporter, reached the highest record of all time with an export value of 12.9 billion dollars with an increase of 33.2 in 2021. The industry has experienced an increase in exports in approximately 85% of the more than 200 countries and regions it exports to.

t reached the highest monthly export figure of all times in December, increasing 18.2% compared to the same period of the previous year, with an export figure of 1.2 billion dollars. The figures increased by 2.1% compared to November 2021 and had a share of 5.4% in Turkey’s overall exports.

In December 2021, Turkey’s general exports increased by 24.9% and reached a value of 22.3 billion dollars, while exports of industrial products increased by 27.6% and reached a value of 16.9 billion dollars. The average capacity utilization rate of the manufacturing industry for the last 12 months was 76.6%, according to the capacity utilization report announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey. In the same period, the capacity utilization rate, which was 80.5% in the production of textile products, decreased by 1.4% compared to November of 2021, increased by 5% compared to December of 2020.
